Nitric oxide is a molecular compound comprised of one nitrogen and oxygen atom. L-arginine, an amino acid, and a family of enzymes called nitric oxide synthase must react in order to produce nitric oxide. This reaction also produces an amino acid called citrulline that can be revisable converted back into L-arginine through a process that necessitates the amino acid aspartic acid. The way to get around this problem is to supplement your pre-exercise diet with Pycnogenol [R] and ginesenosides. Additionally, you can take time released supplements. This will allow you to produce a constant supply of nitric oxide that will not overwhelm the body and allow you to have a longer lasting pump.
